Fife College donates PPE to support fight against Coronavirus

23rd April 2020

Fife College has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to local health and social care providers to support efforts against the coronavirus pandemic.

Thousands of PPE items were gathered from across the College’s campuses including face masks, gloves, aprons and hand sanitisers.

The much-needed items have now been delivered by Fife College staff to NHS Fife and Fife Council for use by front-line health and social care workers in their courageous fight against COVID-19.

Hugh Hall, Fife College Principal, said: “With our campuses currently closed and students continuing to learn remotely, we knew the PPE that we have could be put to good use by local health and social care organisations.

“The donation is just one small way that we can help during what is an extremely challenging time for the NHS, local authorities and other health and social care providers.

“We hope the equipment goes some way to helping protect valued front-line workers as they continue their tireless work to keep us safe and protect the most vulnerable in our communities. They have our deepest respect.”
