Fife College Encourages Businesses to Play Fayre

12th August 2016

Fife College is encouraging local businesses to step forward and take part in their annual Freshers’ Fayre.

Organised by the Fife College Students’ Association (FCSA), the event will be held over three consecutive days, Tuesday 30th August to Thursday 1st September 2016. The fayre will take place at the College’s main campuses in Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and Glenrothes and will host a variety of businesses, charities and services.

The FCSA are on the lookout for vibrant, informative businesses and non-profit organisations to take part in this year’s event. From volunteering opportunities, sport and activities clubs to local retailers, this is a great opportunity for businesses to get involved in the local community.

Raymond McGinty, Student President with Fife College Students’ Association said:

“We are all so excited for the Freshers’ Fayre! The Students’ Association and staff at Fife College work very hard to make this a memorable event for students and a great way to kick off the new academic year.”

“Freshers’ creates a fantastic buzz around the College and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of the staff, students and organisations. The Fayre gives students a unique access to discounts, support and advice from a variety of organisations, which always goes down well.”

Craig Walker, Student Engagement Assistant with the FCSA added: “Freshers’ is a fantastic opportunity to welcome new students to the College and give them the best first impression possible. The atmosphere is just incredible and we are always so grateful to the organisations involved for taking the time to speak to the students and help them get excited about studying with us.”
