Free digital learning for people across Scotland

13th December 2021

Up to 20,000 people will be able to access courses to improve skills in areas including digital technology; finance and design.

Financed by the Scottish Government's National Transition Training Fund (NTTF), the aim is to help people develop new skills and support businesses.

Minister for Higher Education and Further Education, Youth Employment and Training Jamie Hepburn said:

"Enabling adults in Scotland to develop new skills to help support the transition into new job opportunities is a key aim of the National Transition Training Fund.

"The fund aims not only to address skills needs arising as a result of the pandemic but to tackle emerging skills issues and the transition to net zero."

The digitally enabled learning platform from Skills Development Scotland gives anyone 25 or over living in Scotland access to LinkedIn Learning and FutureLearn courses.

The initial phase of support will allow people to access multiple courses until 31 July 2022.

The platform was launched during the first Scottish Careers Week - a campaign to encourage people to access careers support.
