Quick Tips to Improve Your UX
When it comes to UX, even the simplest tweaks can make a huge difference. These easy-to-implement changes can help enhance your users’ journey, reduce bounce rates, and ultimately, generate more leads.
Here are some quick tips to get you started:
1. Simplify website navigation
If users can’t find what they’re looking for, they’ll leave. That’s why it’s important to make your navigation as intuitive as possible.
Some strategies to implement:
- Including a sitemap to show the hierarchy of your website.
- Adding a search bar so users can quickly find content.
- Having clear and concise service pages showing on your menu so the most important pages are easy to find.

2. Optimise your page load speed
A tiny 1-second delay in load time can cause a 7% loss in conversions. Don’t let that happen to you!
Aim for a load time of under 2 seconds for the best results. You can use Google PageSpeed Insights to identify if your site has any speed issues.
Remember: Faster load times lead to happier users, better engagement, and better search performance!
3. Mobile-friendly design
A mobile-friendly site can increase conversion rates by up to 5%. And with billions of smartphone users worldwide, responsive mobile design is now a must.
If your site isn’t mobile-friendly, you will be losing significant amounts of traffic, potential leads, and ultimately, revenue.
Here are ways to ensure your website is working seamlessly across devices:
- Make your website accessible for every screen size.
- Avoid heavy pop-ups that are difficult to close on mobile - this can frustrate users and send them packing.
- Speak with your developers or double-check your site's backend to ensure your site is working both on mobile and desktop
- Regularly check how your website looks across devices so you are up-to-date with any changes in appearance or structure.

4. Clear and compelling Call To Actions
Call to Actions (CTAs) act as the gateways to higher conversions. When creating a CTA, you want to keep it short but attention-grabbing. Use powerwords, ellicit emotion and do your best to make it so captivating that your customers won’t be able to resist clicking on it!
The next step is the design elements. Try placing your CTA in a button or box in a colour that contrasts with the style of the page. Not only can certain colours evoke action, but this will also make it clear to your customers where to click once they’re ready to take action.
Now, for that last (but very important step): always test and optimise your CTAs! This way, you can see which one works best and which one doesn’t. If your current CTA isn't doing the job, don't be scared to try another! Use data insights to make these calls and learn from past examples as you go.
5. Build trust with social proof
We all read reviews before purchasing a product or service, right? In a world of online scams and internet purchases, social proof is essential in building trust
By adding social proof to your sales page, or to your site in general, you immediately build trust with your audience. This simple but key addition can make a huge difference in generating leads and ultimately, getting conversions.
Some examples of good social proof you can add are:
- Customer testimonials - written or video
- Screenshots of messages from happy customers
- Case studies of how your product or service helped a client.
- Star ratings or review snippets from third-party sites, such as Google, Trust Pilot, Yelp etc

6. Focus on visual hierarchy
A clear visual hierarchy guides users to which content they should pay attention to. For example, having your core service front and centre is a better idea than pushing users toward your blog, if your goal is to sell your services.
This is why it’s essential to make your key information stand out. Here’s how you can do it:
- Use large, bold fonts for headlines and important messages.
- Break up text with photos, infographics, or videos to direct the user’s eye.
- Simplicity in design improves engagement and lead generation.
7. A/B Testing for UX improvements
Last but not least, always be testing! Running A/B tests allows you to find out which UX elements are resonating most with your users.
- Test different headlines, button placements, or colour schemes to see what works best.
- Collect data on user behaviour to continuously optimise the experience.
- Use tools like Google Analytics, Unbounce, and HotJar to help you test and analyse
- Learn from your past mistakes and iterate as you move forward!
