Ilasco has been Awarded Supported Business Status

Scottish outdoor clothing brand, Ilasco, has been awarded supported business status in an achievement that reflects the brand’s commitment to equal opportunities for all.

Ilasco, sister company of Keela, manages the UK manufacturing for the brand and has worked with the emergency services sector for over 30 years, providing specialist protective clothing solutions to the police, fire and rescue, and military, amongst others. Ilasco has long been committed to equal opportunities when it comes to its workforce, culminating with this recent milestone.

Supported businesses are enterprises where over 30% of the workforce have a disability or disadvantage, with the award and definition being recognised across Europe. The achievement is awarded by BASE, the national voice for providers of specialist employment support, who promote the principles and delivery of high-quality Supported Employment services and work to improve the employment rates of disabled people.
