Managed IT Experts practice what they preach
Managed IT Experts, IT Support company based in Fife, has today announced that it had been awarded Cyber Essentials certification.
Cyber Essentials is a new UK Government-backed and industry-supported scheme that guides businesses in protecting themselves against cyber threats. The scheme was developed by Government and industry with two clear purposes in mind. The first is to provide a clear statement of the basic controls all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk from common internet based threats.
Secondly, Cyber Essentials certification offers a way for organisations to demonstrate to customers, investors, insurers and others that they have taken these essential precautions.
“Cyber Essentials assures our clients that we take cyber security very seriously,” commented David Shuster, Managing Director of Managed IT Experts. “This certification demonstrates that we are fully compliant when it comes to cyber security. For those we work with, this certification provides additional peace of mind.”
“We also encourage all businesses and 3rd sector organisation to implement the Cyber Essential certification for their organisation. Apart from the cyber security aspect, an additional benefit is that since 1 October 2014, Cyber Essentials became a minimum requirement for bidding for some government contracts”.
Managed IT Experts Ltd. started offering IT solutions in Dunfermline in 2005. And they are proud to be still serving most of those same clients plus many more across the whole of central belt now. What’s made them stand out is that rather than simply letting client’s IT break and then going in and fixing it; they work truly proactively.
