NDR Proposals Appeals Deadline Extension Agreed.

As you are aware, SCC has been working on your behalf on the above New Deal Subgroup. You will have already received a copy of the recommendations from these discussions. I am pleased to advise you that the Scottish Government have now agreed that they will produce a regulation shortly to extend the deadline for lodging proposals from 31 July 2023 to 31 August 2023, or four months from the date on which the valuation notice was issued, whichever is later.

This extension to 31 August 2023 will apply for the 2023 revaluation only and responds to a specific SCC recommendation and follow through direct to the Minister.

Any ratepayers intending to lodge revaluation proposals are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
