Scottish Government Business Ventilation Fund open for applications
Businesses can claim up to £2,500 towards the cost of improving ventilation and air quality on their premises to reduce the risk of covid transmission.
Funding is only available for small and medium size enterprises that are in an eligible sector, have physical premises and pay non-domestic rates.
You cannot claim funding for ventilation improvements you made prior to this funding becoming available.
Alan Mitchell, Chief Executive of Fife Chamber of Commerce, said:
“Any firm that was contemplating changes to their workspace should, of course, use the funding that is available under this scheme to offset some of the costs. The total value of the fund is £25m and there are over 34,0000 SMEs in Scotland, which means that a relatively small number of businesses will probably be successful in their application.
If the Scottish Government is serious about helping businesses to transition to more covid-safe workplaces and has any plans to strengthen health and safety rules to make it compulsory, it is going to have to use a much bigger cheque book.”
