Stagecoach East Scotland shortlisted for top transport awards

Stagecoach East Scotland are finalists at a top industry event, with two nominations at the National Transport Awards

The company's operations across Fife, Dundee, Angus and Perthshire have been short-listed for the prestigious Bus Operator of the Year award at the National Transport Awards and the X51, X55 and X56 services have been shortlisted together in the Improvements to Bus Services category at the same event.

Stagecoach East Scotland operate local bus and coach services across Fife, Perthshire, Dundee and Angus and into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Aberdeen. The company employs over 1300 employees from 9 depots across the region and carry around 32 million passengers per year using over 468 buses and coaches.

In a bus passenger survey by Transport Focus last year, Stagecoach East Scotland achieved the highest satisfaction score of any operator in the UK at 97%.

Stagecoach nationally is in the running for 7 awards overall at the 2019 National Transport Awards. Winners are due to be announced at a ceremony in London in October, the awards are hosted by Transport Times Events.

Stagecoach East Scotland recently won Public Transport Operator of the Year at the Scottish Transport Awards earlier this year, as well as several accolades at the UK Coach Awards.
