VisitScotland awards new rating to Kirkcaldy Venue
Fife Cultural Trust recently celebrated as VisitScotland raised the rating of their flagship arts and theatre venue Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy.
Previously a three star venue, signifying a very good standard of facility, a recent visit from a VisitScotland Quality Assurance Advisor led to the awarding of a new star! The four star rating, which very few venues in the country have achieved, signifies “an excellent standard” of cleanliness, safety, security, comfort, sustainability and customer care.
Visit Scotland QTA Anne Sandilands was extremely impressed with the venue:
“I very much enjoyed my time on site and it was great to see all the improvements you have made since our last grading visit. I am happy to confirm that Adam Smith Theatre now grades with our 4 Star band. Congratulations to all involved.”
Adam Smith Theatre manager Mark Wheelwright was understandably very pleased:
“I’m delighted that all of the hard work of the team has been recognised. Adam Smith Theatre is an important part of the local community, providing dance, drama, music, children's theatre, cinema and a well-loved panto, as well as a space for local arts, clubs and societies. People in Kirkcaldy can be proud of our 4 star arts venue!”
Here’s to a fifth star in the future!
