Wellwood Communications gives advice on the upcoming Openreach Switch Off
Wellwood Communications are actively helping a number of members & clients in their preparation for the impending switch off of ISDN & PSTN telephone lines. This has been an ongoing project which Openreach commenced in 2020, however many companies are unaware of the impact this could potentially have on their business.
What does this mean for your business?
If you currently utilise ISDN or PSTN lines for your business and you do not upgrade your lines, you could lose access to the internet as well as your phones! Additionally, this could impact security systems, fire prevention systems, lifts or any other system which utilises a phone line.
Are you affected?
Unless you are using a cloud-based solution such as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) or SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), it’s likely you are operating via ISDN or PSTN.
Commenting on the upcoming changes, Drew Westwood, Managing Director said; “Many business we speak to are completely unaware of the upcoming changes, but we have a range of options which come packed with benefits including cost savings and business continuity. We offer a free initial consultation where we can establish what businesses currently have in place and the best options available to them to ensure they are ready for the switch.”
