Would you like to work collaboratively with the University of Dundee to help shape our Professional Doctorate programme?
We are currently seeking professionals from different career backgrounds and sectors to join the programme board for our Professional Doctorate programme.
The Professional Doctorate programme itself is targeted at experienced professionals interested in developing research skills for application in practice, enhancing their leadership skills, and professional and personal development opportunities for career progression. The current programme offers pathways in Art and Design, Dentistry, Medicine, Health Sciences, Education, Engineering, Social Work, and other disciplines across the University and we are hoping to reflect this range of experience in our Board Members.
The Programme Board will work together with academic colleagues within the University to discuss and make decisions on the programme development, quality assurance and monitoring. Board members will be asked to take part in discussions and decision-making and promote the programme within their networks. This is a great opportunity to gain an insight into study at doctoral level that could be relevant for your own organisation or even yourself! It also gives you a chance to learn from other organisations in different sectors and expands your network.
A key area that the Board will support is ensuring that the programme is responding to developments in professional practice and aligned to the needs of organisations. There are two meetings a year and Board Members will be reimbursed for local travel costs.
