Maggie’s Fife is running Working with Cancer workshops on 1st March, 3rd May, 4th July or 5th September 10am -1pm, this is free training available to all Fife businesses.

Over 63,000 workers in the UK are living with cancer and struggling to return to work due to the lack of support on offer. As an HR professional or manager, you’ll need to know how to best support employees affected by cancer, and our working with cancer workshop will help to equip you for these situations.

Prince’s Trust Team Celebrate!

Students from the Prince’s Trust Team Programme celebrated their success recently at a special Christmas themed presentation.

The event, held at Fife College’s Priory Campus in Kirkcaldy, marked the end of a 12 week personal development course which the students have all successfully completed and each was presented with a certificate to mark their achievement.

New Year brings over 200 New Retail Jobs At Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh Airport has today (Monday) welcomed the New Year by announcing that its continuing growth will deliver over 200 new retail jobs at the airport in the first half of 2016.

The redevelopment of the airside retail space at Edinburgh Airport will see increased choice for passengers with a range of new outlets including; All Bar One, Brora, Next, Max Mara and Michael Kors and Fatface to add to the existing new retailers Superdrug, JD Sports and Flutes and Tails Champagne bar who arrived in the final weeks of 2015.

Fife school comes out on top in finance challenge

A school from Fife has finished top of the class after winning a competition giving students the chance to sharpen their investment skills.

Madras College in St Andrews was the winner of  the Investment Challenge, a joint initiative supported by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and BNP Paribas Securities Services in partnership with the publisher of the Global Investor business simulations.

Lochgelly Business Centre Opens Doors To Stranded Workers

The closure of the Forth Road Bridge has caused chaos for thousands of workers in Fife.

Ore Valley Business Centre in Lochgelly is opening its doors to provide a free and professional working space for commuters who are struggling to travel to work.

The Business Centre, which is based in the heart of the small mining town, is offering internet access, meeting room space and kitchen facilities free of charge. All people need to bring with them is their laptop and work phone.
