Prince’s Trust Team Celebrate!

Students from the Prince’s Trust Team Programme celebrated their success recently at a special Christmas themed presentation.

The event, held at Fife College’s Priory Campus in Kirkcaldy, marked the end of a 12 week personal development course which the students have all successfully completed and each was presented with a certificate to mark their achievement.

The students, who were joined by their tutors, family and friends, each gave a short talk on what the programme has meant to them, their best bits and how the course has helped to develop their skills and confidence.

The students also brought a Christmas sparkle to the event by dressing in a range of Christmas themed outfits from elves and Santa to a snowman and even a Christmas pudding!

Siobhan Shepherd, Prince’s Trust Team Leader said: “The Team Programme allows students to gain valuable life and works skills and it was great to see the team bond and work so well together on all of the activities throughout the course. I’m sure that the students would describe their 12 week journeys in different ways, with many ups and downs just like everyday life, most importantly they have each learnt and grown from their experiences.

“This final event is a great end to a fantastic 12 weeks and gives the students a chance to celebrate their achievements with their family, friends and with the staff from partnership agencies who also support them throughout the process. I wish each of them the very best of luck for the future.”

Prince’s Trust student Rebecca Guild, 17 from Glenrothes, said: “I came on the course to gain more skills to get a job and have really enjoyed it especially the residential and work placement. The placement helped me develop more of an understanding of what it is like to work in an office/admin environment while the residential helped me to build team work and confidence. After this I want to go to college and study business then get a job.”
