Fife Chamber CEO Update April 2024

18th April 2024

Welcome Members to our latest Chamber Monthly Update. Within this update we will bring you the latest feedback on recent events and upcoming news and events which you may be interested in hearing about.

Productivity and How to work Smarter

I recently have been working on a few projects where it was critical to improve productivity to move forward and, that word, ‘Productivity’, keeps coming up everywhere you turn including the UK Press.

The importance of using technology to improve your productivity particularly if you are an SME is paramount and the Thomson Cooper article titled ‘How to work Smarter using Online Accounting Software’ is a good read as it focuses on some of the repetitive accounting processes that can be helped or removed with good online accounting software.

Fife Chamber Events

Fife Social – Dumbarnie Links

We were delighted that our Member ‘Dumbarnie Links Golf Club’ hosted a well attended Fife Social on the 4th April. I was so glad that they also managed to sort out the weather which made the event even more special for the 35+ attendees. What a beautiful setting and thanks for hosting David and your Team.

Fife Golf Day

Our Chamber Golf Day takes place on the 26th April at Dunfermline Golf Club and we are hoping for some decent weather. There are still a few tee-off times available if you are interested and you can book on our website here.

Fife Business Awards

Our Category and overall sponsors have chosen their finalists for the Fife Business Awards and now the ‘meet the business' process is well underway.

Tickets are now also available for the Awards evening here and Stagecoach, our co-principal sponsor, have been kind enough to provide two coaches to and from the venue to help with transport. Details will follow on our events page in the next two weeks.

McTaggart Scott Tour – West Lothian and Midlothian/East Lothian Chambers

We are working to put on a ‘Behind the Scenes’ event with West Lothian and Midlothian/East Lothian Chambers. This will include a tour, Q&A’s and networking across all three chambers. Be sure to get your tickets early as numbers are limited. Details can be found here.
