Thornton & Lowe’s bid/tender training success!

In this article we receive an update from Fife Chamber Premier Partner - Thornton & Lowe who have quickly grown as a niche bid management, procurement and training provider offering strategic guidance, operational support and business solutions to a range of clients.
Following on from the popularity of our 2015 bid/tender training workshops, it has undoubtedly been a busy first few months for the Thornton & Lowe training department.
January and February proved to be highly successful months for our bid/tender training programme as client demand increased significantly. Training workshops were delivered to over 200 delegates across 16 events throughout the UK from a wide range of sectors including Facilities Management, Rail, Property Maintenance and Construction.
We delivered specialist bid/tender training in a range of forms including workshops, webinars and bespoke onsite training to suit our client’s needs. Clients attending our Bid Writing, PQQ and ITT workshops received specialist advice and constructive tips crafted from our own experiences bidding for 400+ contracts per annum. Attendees were also given the opportunity to have their questions answered throughout our relaxed and interactive workshops.
We successfully delivered a range of bespoke consultations and workshops, to sectors including Healthcare, Utilities and Media Services. Each bespoke workshop was developed and tailored to meet the client’s specific needs.
Our sector specific Rail workshops have also proved to be extremely popular. They have given attendees a unique insight into what requirements they are likely to see within rail bids, using a key rail contractor as a focus throughout. Clients received knowledge, information and guidance to write a clear, concise, competitive and compelling rail bid.

The success of January and February has set us up for the year ahead. We are delighted to announce a wealth of upcoming training dates as well as some newly developed workshops, including a topic which is at the forefront of every bidders’ mind: Corporate Social Value.
We are also looking forward to welcoming specialist procurement guest speakers to a number of our workshops, who will provide delegates with first-hand key information and expertise designed to provide you with a competitive advantage when bidding.
As well as this, we will be delivering our newly developed NHS specific tender training workshops, aimed at healthcare organisations bidding to CCGs/Local Authorities.
These upcoming events are scheduled to be delivered across the UK, in Birmingham, Manchester, North East England, London and Scotland.
