Beau Russell Receives Inaugural Rising Stars Champion Award

23rd November 2022

Beau Russell became the first ever recipient of the Rising Star Champion Award at the glittering Rising Stars Dinner at the Fairmont on the 18th of November. Beau, who is an S6 pupil at Waid Academy, was presented with the Award in recognition of her tireless work to help young people in Fife.

Commenting after presenting the Champion Award to Beau, Colin Brown, President of Fife Chamber of Commerce, which is behind the Rising Stars campaign and organised the Dinner, said: “The focus of Rising Stars is the talented young people who are making their mark in every walk of life across Fife. You cannot celebrate young people without also acknowledging the people and organisations in the Kingdom who devote themselves to helping their talent flourish. Even the most talented youngsters need a helping hand some time, and the Rising Star Champion Award rightfully acknowledges this. All the nominees for the Champion Award deserve praise but Beau was a very worthy winner for everything she does to help her fellow pupils at Waid Academy and all the charity and voluntary work she does to raise money for children and families. Just one example from many is the Little Bee’s social enterprise she has set up and runs to provide free clothing for babies and young children. I had the privilege of spending time with Beau at the Rising Stars Dinner and she is truly an inspirational and caring young lady that everyone in Fife should be very proud of.”
