Fife Based Sephra Popcorn Strengthens Its Relationship With Asda
Fife based Sephra Popcorn, now the UK’s leading tub popcorn brand, has announced that its latest seasonal lines of Toffee Apple, Gingerbread, and Sticky Toffee Pudding Popcorns, are now available in Asda stores across the country.
Packaged in unique striped cardboard tubs, which are instantly recognisable and synonymous with the high quality that Sephra is now known for, other flavour combinations for the brand include the staple lines, Sweet, and Sweet & Salt, both stocked at Asda, along with a lower sugar popcorn, and a special pink variety, flavoured with raspberry, developed by Sephra exclusively for Asda to support the company’s on-going Tickled Pink Breast Cancer Charity Work.
Filled and sealed fresh, Sephra’s deliciously seasoned popcorn is traditionally wet popped to ensure it's packed with flavour. Delivered in eye-catching cinema style cardboard tubs which are foiled lined to maintain quality and offer a long shelf life, Sephra tubs not only offer a delicious popcorn, but a memorable eating experience for consumers.
Commenting from Sephra Popcorn, Callum Bond, Sales & Business Development Manager, said: “We are thrilled and excited to add these delicious new flavours of popcorn to Asda’s stock lines, providing our loyal Asda customers with added choice as the festive season and beyond approaches. These are warming, comforting & indulgent flavours, recreating the flavours of favourite cakes, desserts, and sweet treats synonymous with the autumn/winter season.”
Stating that Asda’s backing had been “integral to the growth and development of our now thriving business,” Callum explained that in 2016, Sephra had supplied Asda’s in house bakery section with a self serve popcorn for the very first time.
“We were grateful for the support at the time, relishing the opportunity to work with such a large national supermarket,” he said. “Over the next few years, Asda simplified it’s in store bakery processes and decided that it would prefer a tubbed popcorn option for its customers, so it was with this in mind that we applied our skills and innovation to create our first tubs which have now becomes synonymous with the Sephra brand.”
“They stuck with us, and gave us the opportunity to create what they wanted,” said Callum. “Obviously now, the tubs have become greatly loved by all our customers.”
“We look forward to continuing to supply Asda with more new flavours, as we develop them, and indeed, more collaborations, such as the Tickled Pink Popcorn which it was our pleasure to develop and supply.”
Commenting from Asda, Reece Jones, Buyer, said: “We’re proud to work with Sephra Popcorn and be a part of its growth journey. Its cinema style popcorn range resonates really well with our customers and performs strongly all-year-round.
“Partnering with Sephra to strengthen our seasonal offering means our customers will now have exciting, autumnal flavours to choose from as the days get shorter and many households opt for cosy nights in.”
