Fife business delegates all in a spin at Fishers in Cupar
Fishers Laundry, Scotland’s largest commercial laundry and textile rental business, today (Thursday 19th January) hosted a visit from members of Fife Chamber of Commerce.
Fishers is headquartered in Cupar, and the visit took place at its Prestonhall laundry in the town, one of six locations from which the company operates. Twelve representatives of companies from across the Kingdom were given a guided tour of the facility, learning how Fishers washes, dries and irons more than 2 million items a week in peak season.
They were hosted by Joe Mcdonagh, General Manager of Fishers’ Prestonhall facility, and Scott Inglis, the company’s Commercial Director. Scott Inglis said:
“We’re always proud to show people what we do and to explain how we support the Scottish hospitality sector to provide the warmest of welcomes for Scotland’s tourists and visitors. More than that, we’re a major employer here in Fife and we are only too pleased to swap experiences with other Fife companies.”
Ken Richards, Interim CEO at Fife Chamber of Commerce, said:
“These visits to our member companies represent an important and fascinating part of the Chamber’s “Fife Learn” programme. Today’s behind the scenes visit to Fishers was a great opportunity for our members to develop a deeper understanding of one of Fife’s highest profile businesses that provides a vital service to the Scottish hospitality and tourism sector.”
