Fife Chamber CEO Update September 2023
Well, it looks like Autumn is finally here with the occasional warm day and bright blue skies. I do enjoy watching the leaves on the trees starting to turn a beautiful shade of golden brown.
The big focus this month has been the Fife EXPO 2023 which is coming together nicely. I do hope to be able to see as many of you at the Carnegie Conference Centre on the 3rd of October 2023.
We have finalised all our seminars and even if I do say so myself, it should be a great day with new connections being made!
Skills, The Third Sector, AI, Innovation, Net Zero and Wellbeing will be the topics of the day and we will be having an open mic opportunity. Be sure to sign up and pitch your business to potential customers and suppliers alike. ‘You never know who will be there on the day’.
Dunhill Masters
On the 5th of October, we will be hosting a great Sustainability Breakfast talk at the Dunhill Masters. Please click here for details and do book up early as tickets are selling fast!
Fife Social
We hosted an excellent Fife Social at the picturesque Kirkcaldy Golf Club on the 17th of August. It was a great success with over 40 people enjoying the food, company and even some putting.
Our next Fife Social will be on the 26th of October at the Carnegie Library and Galleries. All details are on the website here.
International
Our ‘International training workshops’ continued to be a great success with a very good turnout. We learned about Export Controls and Licenses during the interactive session. The next and penultimate event in our series will be on ‘Commodity Codes’. It takes place on the 10th of October with all details on the Chamber website here. There are a few places still remaining on the course so feel free to register your attendance.
Tri-Chamber Event - Dundee
On the 27th of September 2023, we are holding a sell-out Tri-Chamber networking event. These have always been well attended and I am sure this will be no exception. I look forward to meeting members across the three chambers during the morning event.
Winners- Dinner
I was delighted to be included in the FBA Winners Dinner event at the Deanpark Hotel on the 7th September. It was hosted by our good friends at Henderson Loggie with support from Blackadders where we celebrated all the winners from the Fife Business Awards 2023. We are looking forward to launching the Fife Business Awards 2024 in the coming weeks.
Membership
I am delighted to see that our reach across the Kingdom continues to grow with a few new Members joining and I personally would like to welcome them to the Chamber and look forward to meeting you all at various events over the coming weeks and months.
Please do get in touch if you have feedback on how we are helping you and your business or how we can help you connect and make your Business prosper.
