This is the second successive year that the Adam Smith Theatre and Imagine Theatre have joined their creative forces following on from the success of last year’s Cinderella which proved to be a smash hit with audiences.

This year will see many familiar faces returning to the stage with the hilarious Gordon Brandie returning as Wishee Washee, last year’s Cinderella, Kim Shepherd, will be taking on the dual roles of So Shi and Spirit of the Ring with her Fairy Godmother Ashley Andrew as the Princess. Derek McGhie who was one of the Ugly Sisters last year continues his wicked ways as the evil magician Abanazar. Matthew Tomlinson will be joining the cast and playing the hero of the story, Aladdin.

As part of the programme run there are two performances which ensure that everyone can enjoy our exciting Christmas programme:- The British Sign Language performance on Thursday 21 December at 7pm and the Relaxed performance on 5th January at 11am.

Bring the whole family along to experience a pantomime adventure to the mystical Far East featuring all the traditional pantomime ingredients including sensational song and dance numbers, a laugh-a-minute script and bags of audience participation.

Steve Boden, Director at Imagine Theatre said: “We are hugely excited to be working with Fife Cultural Trust once again. Pantomime is a very unique form of theatre and the UK is the only territory in the world that has had this tradition for centuries. It is a wonderful tradition to keep alive and in such a fast moving digital world it is a chance for the younger generations to leave behind their tablets, computers and TV and immerse into something that’s live and interactive and, as pantomime can be enjoyed by everyone from grandparents to toddlers, it is one of the few activities that the whole family can do together.”

Fife Cultural Trust’s Chief Executive Heather Stuart said “The Trust is thrilled to once again be working alongside the highly acclaimed Imagine Theatre team, who are national leaders in the pantomime industry. I am certain that Aladdin will be a roaring success with all our audiences.”

Aladdin runs from Saturday 9th December 2017 until Saturday 6th January 2018.
