Key Promotions strengthen senior team at EQ Accountants LLP
Leading Scottish tax and business advisory specialists, EQ Accountants LLP has announced 23 promotions across the firm.
Ten of those are management promotions, including Michelle Murray, Scott Kennedy, and Gavin Nurse who have all been promoted to Senior Managers at the firm. Eilidh Giudice has been promoted to Manager whilst Gary Dempster, Louise Millar, Laura Nicol, Hannah Hutchison, and Chelsea Anton are now Assistant Managers. The rest of the promotions range across trainees to supervisors throughout the firm’s offices.
Nineteen of the team members promoted are ‘home grown’ talent who joined from school, college or university and have trained with EQ. The firm place a lot of emphasis on the training and development of their people and are committed to offering professionally rewarding careers, with plenty of variety and opportunities for progression.
One of the new Senior Managers, Scott, joined EQ straight from school in 1994 and now leads the Forfar Amber Accounting department. The Amber team have gone from strength to strength in recent years, due to demand from clients outsourcing their accounting services such as payroll and bookkeeping to the specialist professionals. The team now have 18 members, most of which are based in Dundee, including the specialist payroll department that delivers 380 payrolls and processes 5,360 payslips each month for clients.
With many businesses looking to move to EQ for all their accounting, financial and tax needs, the demand to provide a ‘full service’ to clients is set to continue. EQ have increased their staff headcount by 27% in the last twelve months and are currently recruiting across all offices with demand for their services at an all-time high.
