Kirkcaldy Based Sephra Celebrates Salsa Certification

SALSA Accreditation is the 4th Consecutive accreditation achieved by the business, and the very 1st for its new Repacking Facility

Sephra, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of professional chocolate fountains, together with a huge array of dessert products, has successfully renewed its SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) Accreditation for its warehouse operations, the fourth in a row it has achieved, along with achieving SALSA certification for its new in-house repacking facility for the very first time.

A significant milestone for Sephra, the new repacking facility will enable the business to bring the repacking of chocolate, inclusions, and baking mixes entirely in-house. This move has delivered greater flexibility, control, and cost savings, while ensuring consistently high standards in product quality and food safety.

The SALSA project was led by Operations Director John Laughlin, with expert guidance and support from SALSA mentor Margaret Andrew. John Laughlin commented:


“The SALSA accreditation has been invaluable in helping us introduce rigorous checks and processes across both our warehouse picking and packing operations, as well as our new repacking facility. More and more, we’re being asked for quality accreditations as part of new customer setups, and having SALSA in place has made this process much smoother. It’s a strong reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to.”

This latest achievement underscores Sephra’s ongoing commitment to food safety, quality assurance, and operational excellence as the business continues to grow and expand its capabilities.
