Knockhill's International McRae Rally Challenge Wins Top National Award
Knockhill's star-studded International McRae Rally Challenge, supported by Event Scotland, in September, took top honours at the prestigious RAC Club National Awards ceremony in Pall Mall, London. The event marked the 50th season of rallying for Jimmy McRae, 30 years since Colin won the World Championship, as well as the 30th anniversary of Alister's win of the British Rally Championship.

Host of the evening was F1 presenter Lee McKenzie
Other finalists included the Silverstone Festival, which was celebrating 75 years of Formula One, and the Donington Park Equipe 6 Hour endurance race. The judges, led by motor racing commentator Ian Titchmarsh, described it as 'a wonderful celebration of not just Colin and the rest of the McRae family, but also the best of Scottish motorsport.'

We had worked closely with the Border Ecosse Car Club, the McRae family, key individuals from the rally scene, as well as clubs and private rally car owners. We are all thrilled that the event was recognised nationally as the awards are so prestigious within the motorsport scene worldwide".
