New Partner Appointed at EQ Accountants
A new Partner has been appointed at EQ Accountants LLP.
Angela Haig (47), who specialises in personal and business taxation, takes up her position within the Forfar office this week.
Brought up in Montrose, Angela joins the firm from Henderson Loggie and, prior to that, KPMG. She undertook her examinations with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), qualifying in 1992. A graduate of Heriot-Watt University, Angela went on to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in 1995. Membership of the CIOT is nationally recognised as the gold standard of UK taxation education, allowing Angela to offer the highest level of expertise to clients in all aspects of tax planning.
Mother-of-two Angela, who is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland Private Client Sub Committee said, “I am extremely proud to be joining EQ as a Partner. The combination of working with a firm of such high calibre, and being based within the Angus area where I grew up, particularly appeals to me. EQ’s vast and varied client base is hugely impressive and I look forward to getting immersed in the business, across all of its offices, and making a tangible difference to both existing and new clients.”
Graeme Davidson, Partner added, “As EQ grows and evolves, it’s essential that we attract the very best people and we are delighted to welcome Angela to our Forfar office. Not only does Angela bring immense experience to EQ, but her status as a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax very much bolsters what we believe is already a very strong tax advisory offering. Angela is well known to the Angus business community and her appointment confirms our intention to deliver a first class service to those businesses.”
With offices in Cupar, Dundee, Forfar and Glenrothes, EQ employs over 100 staff, and now has 16 Partners. With plans to grow further and recruit into a range of positions within the months ahead, EQ’s current turnover is over £6.5M.
