Our inspirational guest speaker, Aled Davies enjoyed sport from a young age, despite being born with hemimelia of the right leg. As a child Aled represented Wales at swimming before switching to athletics and deciding to commit to the shot put and discus - this turned out to be an excellent decision!

Aled has broken multiple world records in both the discus and shot put, as well as winning gold at two Paralympic Games – discus F42 gold at London 2012 and shot put F42 gold Rio 2016. He also won double gold at both the 2014 and 2016 European Championships.

Hear Aled’s fascinating story as he describes overcoming adversity to achieve his goals, including rebuilding his body and at one time losing 4 stone in weight. It’s not to be missed!
