Stagecoach to introduce timetable changes in Fife

Stagecoach East Scotland will make timetable changes from Monday 14^th August with multiple services changing, new services being added and services that will move to other operators.

• Services 20/20A, 77A, 83, 87, 94/94A/94X will be move to other operators
• Services 4B/4C, 6A, 88/88A will now be operated by Stagecoach

There will be service revisions to multiple services –

1, 2/2A, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6A, 7D, 8/8A, 28, 33, 37, 38, 39, 41, 84, 88, 89, 91/91A, 93/93A, 95, 99/N99, X51, X58 and X60.

Some services will also be run by different operators and may be subject to minor change to the timetables. Stagecoach will take over the operation of 4B, 4C, 6A (previously F6), 88 and 88A, previously operated by Bay Travel. Stagecoach will no longer operate services 20/20A, 77A, 83, 87 and 94/94A/94X. Services 77A and 94/94A/94X will be operated by Moffat & Williamson and services 20/20A, 83 and 87 will be operated by Bay Travel from 14^th August. Service 98 has also been withdrawn.

Service enhancements include later journeys on service 8 for High Valleyfield and Culross on Sundays, later evening journeys on services X58, X60 and 95 in the East Neuk and more journeys between St Andrews, Leuchars station and Dundee with service 99.

Sarah Elliott, Commercial Director, Stagecoach East Scotland commented: “The upcoming timetable changes affect a number of services within Fife - in some cases addressing issues of reliability or route changes where access has been problematic. We are also increasing service frequencies where we have seen greater demand.

“With changes to the contracts we operate on behalf of Fife Council, some customers may find their regular bus will be operated by another company so we urge customers to view the full information available on our website so they know what to expect.”

School bus contracts have also been revised from the 14^th August which may mean a different operator runs the trips to school, therefore parents are encouraged to familiarise themselves with requirements prior to schools returning on 16^th August.
