Students take part in traditional St Andrews Pier Walk

Hundreds of students at the University of St Andrews take part in the traditional Pier Walk (Sunday 4 September 2022) along the harbour walls of St Andrews before the start of the new academic year.
The Pier Walk is one of the oldest traditions in St Andrews and is the first event of the new academic year.
Every Sunday, after Chapel Service, students in their iconic St Andrews red gowns walk down to the end of the pier, climb up the ladder and walk back along the highest part of the pier wall.
The Martinmas Semester starts on Monday 12 September 2022 for all students.
