Volunteer Mentors Needed For Innovative Fife Pilot Programme

MCR Pathways is calling on adults across Fife to step forward as volunteer mentors and support local young people through an exciting innovative new pilot programme. Delivered in partnership with Fife Council and Fife Education’s Destinations and Developing the Young Workforce (DYW), the programme places a trusted adult mentor at the heart of each young person’s journey. The programme will support young people to overcome unique challenges to staying on at school, gaining qualifications and moving on to positive post-school destinations.

My Future Plan:

Supporting S4 learners furthest from achievement or a positive destination, and S5 learners disengaging from their current curriculum, but not ready to leave school. Young people will explore pathways in leadership development, volunteering opportunities, work experience, personal and social development.

Participating schools – Inverkeithing High School, Levenmouth Academy, Queen Anne High School, Bell Baxter High School and Glenrothes High School.

MCR Pathways welcomes mentors from all walks of life. Full training and ongoing support are provided, enabling volunteers to use life experience and personal qualities to make a real difference.

This opportunity is open to everyone who has already signed up and is waiting to be matched. Existing mentors are warmly encouraged to share this opportunity with friends, family, workplaces and their local communities.
