Twice weekly flight to Marrakesh to begin in December

Edinburgh Airport is connecting with Morocco from December as Ryanair continues to expand its offering from the capital’s airport.

The twice weekly flight to Marrakesh will commence on December 18 and operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays, offering some winter sun for passengers.

It takes the total number of new Ryanair routes from Edinburgh for 2021 to nine.

Halloween Drive-in comes to Levenmouth

On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st October 2021 hosted at New Bayview Stadium’s car park in Lower Methil Scarefest comes to Levenmouth. The event comes from Together Levenmouth – a Brag Enterprises run project supported by Fife Council and will show a variety of four films over 2 nights. The equipment will be provided by skyline cinema who are specialists in outdoor and drive-in cinema events.

Economic recovery underway but threats looming for business

Businesses in Scotland have continued to benefit from the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and a strong economic rebound over the summer months, according to a leading quarterly survey led by the Scottish Chambers of Commerce (SCC).

The SCC’s Quarterly Economic Indicator (QEI) for the third quarter of 2021 indicates strong growth across most sectors. However, Q3 has also seen mounting concern from businesses over rising cost pressures and external factors such as inflation and taxation rises.

BRAG awards Honorary Presidency role to founding member

In the late 1980’s a group of local people came together to form the Benarty Regeneration Action Group (BRAG). The aim back then was to tackle the drastic increase in unemployment within the Benarty area of Fife caused initially by the decline of the coal industry and increased due to the closure of Rosyth Naval Dockyard which was also a major employer in the area. Joe Paterson was one of those local people that stepped up to help.
