More Places in Fife Get Set for a Superfast Boost

Over 40,000 households and businesses across Fife now have access to their fastest-ever broadband speeds through the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband rollout.

Across Scotland, nearly 580,000 premises are now able to connect to fibre thanks to the Digital Scotland project. To benefit from the faster connection speeds, residents need to sign up for a fibre service with their chosen provider, as upgrades aren’t automatic.

Low cost airline Transavia starts new UK routes

Transavia recently launched its new UK operations out of London Luton and Edinburgh airports. Only one year after starting the connections between Dublin and Paris, the low-cost airline of the Air France-KLM Group is pleased to operate its first UK flights to Paris Orly. As such Transavia establishes its position in the UK market and is pleased to offer more than 140,000 seats this summer.

Chamber Business Awards to showcase best of British business for 13th year running

Businesses from across the UK are invited to compete in the thirteenth annual Chamber Business Awards – hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC).

The prestigious competition is one of the showpiece events in the business calendar, recognising and promoting the best of British business through a series of regional heats, culminating in a Gala Awards Dinner, which will take place at the Brewery, London on 24 November.

Entries open on Monday 11 April and will run until Friday 24 June.

Fife training centre first in Scotland to hold Institute of Export accreditation

A Fife Chamber of Commerce member has become the first training provider in Scotland to offer accredited training from the Institute of Export (IOE). St Andrews Management Centre (STAMC) today announce success in their bid to become accredited with the Institute of Export.  This accreditation will enable the centre to deliver the IOE’s internationally recognised export qualifications and STAMC will lead with the Certificate in International Trade.
